- Setting up for drivers for DCT64xx Firewire capture using Windows XP SP2. If prompted to find/install drivers just click on cancel. Run CapDVHS.exe and make sure the Motorola device is selected in the capture device list. Make sure you have the following settings.
- Software: All three Firewire drivers resident in Win 7 have been tried. OHCI, Legacy and Texas Instruments versions. Computer rebooted prior to every attempt to get a connection. With power to the DSR-11 both On and Off prior to each attempt. I have the latest drivers for the motherboard installed.
OS: WIN 98 Gold

Hi all.
I just did another test scenario. Only this time, using virtualdub.
(I didn't know it was a secret)
And, to my 2nd amazment, I can NOW capture through my Firewire cable
just as I can in AVI_IO yesterday.
Just a tadd bit of history here.
Yesterday, I had to do some digging around for some new Firewire drivers
for my WIN 98 Gold setup. I found various drivers from my good old
days of DV'ing around a year ago or so, still on my other HD's. (I also did
some searching around on the internet as well) Anyways.
.
Yeah, yesterday was a test w/ AVI_IO (as a huntch, really) and then today.
I'm not sure it my abilities were gifted through tweaking or hacking the above
drivers, or because avi_io and virtualDub now supports Firewire. But one thing is
for sure., that I am now able to do ALL my DV capturing through:
* VirtualDUB v1.5.10
* avi_io
.and, with what I dreamed of most., Segmentation whippy!!
I recall mentioning somewhere's here, a long time ago, about year or so, that I
had did some hacking of various drivers, and actually did get vdub to capture
thruogh Firewire. But, I guess no one believed me, or thought I just boasting
or something. But, I didn't care all that much anyways, cause I couldnt duplicate
it again. till yesterday, when I did a bit of messing around some, w/ some
drivers and things. So, either I successfully hacking my firewire/capture drivers,
or these apps always had Firewire support. But then, no one seemed to admit it
here. So, I'm a bit at a loss at the moment. But who cares., I got firewire
working again, and w/ segmentation. Yeah.
I haven't made up my mind as to which one I'll use now, but dreamed of tweaks
for DVIO is no longer necessary
I did a search for any reference to AVI_IO and vdub capturing through Firewire,
(cause I thought I read somewhere's here on vcdhelp) but I coudl not find any
reference to it., not even Google. So, either I must be the first, and nobody
knows about it yet, or. ** I'm Dreaming **
If any of you guys/gals are using vdub/avi_io in your firewire captures, where
have you all been ??
A Happy Cheery

Qualcomm mmc storage usb device driver for mac. I get and error! Im able to change the channels using the channel.exe -v x channel But If I start Capdvhs and follow this: 'Select the 'Data Info.' Tab and hit the 'Rec' Button. You should see the info populated.' I have successfully captured HDV before in Windows XP using CapDVHS and Avid so it isn't a driver issue. Nexus au mac torrent. Capdvhs Firewire Drivers Windows 10
Is this possible with drivers or API's or something? Or is an external box needed to connect the VGA/DVI output of the video card and convert it to a IEEE-1394 firewire signal?
reason I ask is that I'm getting a new Mitsubishi 52628 in about 12 days and I know that it can recieve a 1080p signal over firewire (seen it in the store and from the mits rep). The other inputs will do 1080i, but why go through the upconversion to 1080p if it's not needed????
I've been looking into the external boxes and such, but most of them I've found will only do analog video (s-video, composite, and only the most expensive of external boxes will do component), but not vga/dvi. Anyone seen such a box that will take a vga/dvi input and convert to DV firewire?? I've been googling all evening and haven't found what I'm looking for.
